At Legion our mission is to provide you or your child with world-class jiu jitsu instruction. We want to do so in an environment that's welcoming for those who are hardened warriors and those that are trying jiu jitsu for the first time. Our members come from all walks of life, from ages of 4 to 65+.

The only thing that we reject at Legion are rigid traditions and exploitative business practices. And gym drama. Find out everything about age groups, schedule, instructors, benefits, pricing & what parents have to say! With some help from our 360 panoramic camera, you can jump into our lobby area, right now!

Kids
Report
Kids who train jiu jitsu learn how to handle themselves physically and how to avoid fighting off the mats. Our kids classes feature plenty of games and drills to help develop good bodily awarness and control. The objective for Little Eaglets (4-6 y.o.) is fun. Our instructors have plenty of games, coordination drills and grappling basics to keep the kids focused, engaged and happy.
Instructors

Keenan Cornelius is Legion's founder and Head Instructor. He is known for developing several prominent jiu jitsu techiques and for his teaching prowess in general. Come meet him! Andris Brunovskis earned his nickname "The Latvian Sniper" as a fierce competitor. At Legion he's crucial to several of our programs, but he shines as our Beginner Program director.

If possible, please try to arrive 15 minutes early so that you can meet the staff and instructor, sign a waiver, and become orientated with our space. As far as footwear goes bringing some flip flops/ sandals is a good idea. No shoes are permitted on the mats. That's why walking up to the mats with flip-flops is a great idea for a seamless transition.

Thinking about visiting San Diego and Legion AJJ? We've compiled a lot of helpful information, plus our recommendations below. Public transport in SoCal exists, for example, there are buses servicing Miramar Road where Legion HQ is located. However, it is notoriously bad and used by few. If you are planning on staying in the area for a week or longer, we recommend renting a car.
