Compass Clinical Associates is a dynamic multidisciplinary team working together to serve the mental health needs of our Central Iowa. For 30 years, we have been serving Central Iowans with the finest mental health treatment. Bruce Buchanan served as the President and CEO at Compass Clinical Associates (CCA). CCA is one of the largest and most comprehensive full service mental health agencies in the Iowa. He was also a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Social Work Values and Ethics.
Additionally, Bruce was a nationally sought after trainer and lecturer in the areas of child and adolescent therapies, reactive attachment disorder youth, social work ethics and residential treatment programming.He was the recipient of the" Star of Excellence Children's Service Provider " award given by Magellan Behavioral Care of Iowa for 2008.

Depression - major depression, unipolar depression, clinical depression, or simply depression, is characterized by a pervasive sadness and loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities. Only trained health care professional should make a diagnosis of depression. Depression is very treatable with a combination of all patient psychotherapy and medication.
