Dr. Dabir was born and raised in India. He completed his dental school there in 1995. He practiced as a general dentist for three years before coming to Louisiana State University, New Orleans for his residency in Pediatric Dentistry in 1998. He graduated in 2000 and was the first student from the program to obtain a Master's degree.
Dr. Cuisia graduated from dental school at the University of the Philippines in 1994. She obtained a certificate of Externship in Pediatric Dentistry at Philippine Children's Medical Center in 1995. In 2000, Dr. Cuisia completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the Louisiana State University, New Orleans.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines recommend that your child be seen by a dentist within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth. We agree and invite you to bring your child early so that we can prevent cavities rather that treat them.
We have designed our office and rooms to look and feel as non-threatening and safe as possible. We try and keep our dental equipment and instruments out of sight. To keep our patients entertained, we have TVs with a selection of parent-approved channels for your child to watch while we take care of their dental needs.
Tongue Tie is when the membrane under the tongue (the lingual frenulum) restricts the movement of the tongue. All babies are born with some of this tissue, but for a small percentage (ranges 1-10%) of newborns, it is so tight that they cannot move their tongues freely. This can affect their ability to breastfeed and can lead to poor latch.

My three year old son and I had the greatest experience at this dental office!!!!! Everyone was so sweet to us!!! They took their time with my son and knew exactly how to get him to do things ( open mouth, apply fluoride, take x rays) the dentist was amazing and took his time explaining what my son needs. He developed a plan for us to follow and was kind enough to help me understand!! I can be a little slow at times and I appreciated the dentist being so patient!!! If you're looking for a place to take your child too, LOOK NO MORE! PICK UP THE PHONE AND SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT TODAY!!!

We love Carlsbad Children's Dentistry. My children are always happy to go, the staff is incredibly nice and the installations are impeccable. Dr. Dabir is always kind and interacts with the children in a calm loving way. He always makes sure to explain in detail any issues and gives you the best options for you to consider as treatment. I can't say enough, they are the best!

We always have such a fabulous experience at Carlsbad Children’s Dentistry. All of the staff are friendly and work great with young kids. Roxy goes above and beyond to make sure my children feel comfortable and have a positive experience at the dentist. And Dr. Debeers does the same. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend them!

Great dentist and great staff. What I love about this place is the fact that the dentist considers the emotional well being of the patient, first and foremost. Going to the dentist can be tough for kids when they are there for more than a cleaning. The dentist will weigh the risks and benefits with you truthfully when discussing a treatment plan.

They were amazing. From the moment my son and I walked through the doors I knew we had to change our dentist to Carlsbad Children Dentistry. My son has severe anxiety with the dentist and our last experience was terrible. Coming here today was so freeing. My son didn't have a single issue. Amazing all together from the front office, to the assistants to dentists themselves. So wonderful!

Dr. Dabir and the staff at Carlsbad Children's Dentistry create a professional, caring and fun environment for children and their families. Every person we have encountered there has never hesitated to go the extra mile to ensure our kids and their teeth are well cared for. Dr. Dabir always takes time to thoroughly address any issue.
We have been to several pediatric dentists and researched carefully to find Dr. Dabir. We are so thankful we did, as he is exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled in pediatric dentistry. Our girls love going to the office-- everyone is caring, welcoming and

I have to say that this office is the best one in town . One of my kids have high anxiety and was recommended various methods of treatment but the ultimate best safe alternative was oral surgery. I understand why it's necessary, it's less traumatic and all the work gets done in one visit and don't have to worry about my kid moving or crying during treatment . The office is amazing . Please be considerate that these are hard working people and should be appreciated more . They really do try their best and if you have a problem probably makes you a "Karen".

This office almost had me in tears, good tears to be clear, during my kids' visits today. Our 6 y/o has mod/severe autism with an intellectual disability. Both the hygienist Lauren and Dr. Dabir were fantastic at being super patient and making him as comfortable as possible by being playful with the instruments. My son did briefly let them go in his mouth before we had to try an alternative to get a better look. Re my 2y/o, they had the same patience with him and had spoiled him with so many toys and stickers that he was very comfortable and cooperative.
There was no push for unnecessary

If I could give 6-stars I would! I have been taking my kiddos here since their first dentist appt, and they love it. We recently moved to the East Coast and were so sad to leave this practice. They are professional, kind, super personable with kiddos, make it so easy to have a fun introduction to the dentist, and give amazing care. We just had our first East Coast dentist visit, my son was literally SO excited to go to the dentist, we had a countdown until the appt. Carlsbad Children's Dentistry built such trust with him and I am forever grateful. Makes my life so much easier, and this

We're here right now to have pretty significant work done on my 8 year old's teeth. Dr. Hammer is INCREDIBLE, along with everyone else who works here. They're great with the kids & it's clear they enjoy being here. We saw Dr. Dabir for cleanings for our 3 kids, and he is a great dentist, too! No pressure about services. He presented the facts and the options and let me choose. I'm grateful we found this office.

I have now been to this office for three visits. The first was for a lip tie/dental consultation. I was referred by our family dentist after having a poor experience at another pediatric dentist in Carlsbad.
The first visit went generally okay. The biggest hiccup was that we arrived early to our appointment, signed in, sat down and waited a long time. I saw two families that arrived after us get called back before us. They called my cellphone asking if I was going to show for the appointment while I was sitting in the office waiting. To be honest this really upset me. It made for a bad first impression

We love Dr Dabir and staff they are so kind and generous. The girls ask me when do we get to go to the dentist. It's such a pleasure to have them love coming and getting there teeth cleaned. Dr dabir also recommended pulling and extra tooth to ensure my daughters teeth would come in straight. So awesome

My kids love going to the dentist.
I brought my son for the first time when he 15 months old and everyone was so patient with him, he loved his first experience he dint want to leave. He kept asking me when he can come back and we put our next appointment on the calendar and was so so so excited for the next time. Now he is 3.5 years old and i bring him and his little brother together and they both dont want to leave.
Thank you Carlsbad Childrens Dentistry for your patience and for truly making a trip to the dentist "a walk in the park"
