G James Kassir
My firm was established in 2004 with my primary legal focus being criminal defense, DUIs, suspended licenses, traffic tickets, traffic accidents, misdemeanors, CDL tickets, speeding tickets, and expungements. For the last 15-years, I have committed myself wholeheartedly to a thorough and diligent battle on behalf of my clients in order to attain exoneration.

I focus my traffic law and speeding ticket practice in Hinsdale and Dupage County, Illinois. I was raised by a hardworking mother who worked nights as a Nursing Assistant in a nursing home. Her patients' families would rarely visit, so she tended to their needs as a doting daughter might, which taught me compassion, above all else.

Dui
Report
Have you been charged with a DUI? Even for a first offense, a conviction can mean the loss of your driving privileges, fines and even jail time. In most cases, 45 days following your arrest, your privilege to drive will be suspended a minimum of 6 months if you submitted a BAC in excess of.08. Your privilege to drive will be suspended a minimum of 1 year if you failed or refused to provide a blood, urine, or breath sample.
Aggravated Speeding
Report
Under Illinois law, 625 ILCS 5/11 601.5(a), speeding 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit, is a Class B Misdemeanor criminal offense. The charge is punishable by up to six (6) months in jail and a $1,500 fine plus mandatory court costs. If convicted, the Secretary of State assesses 50 points, leading to an extensive suspension if three (3) or more tickets are accumulated within a 12 month period.
Passing School Bus
Report
The law provides that all vehicles must come to a complete stop for a school bus that is loading or unloading child passengers. The school bus must display a flashing stop sign. Motorists are not required to stop for a school bus where the bus is stopped on a four lane highway and there are at least two lanes traveling in the opposite direction.
Speeding in School Zone
Report
On school days when school children are present and so close that a potential hazard exists, no person shall drive at a speed in excess of 20 mph. This offense IS NOT eligible for Court Supervision. If you are found guilty or plead guilty to this offense, the only available sentence a Judge can give is a conviction.
Point System & Penalties FAQ
Report
However, Illinois differs from other states in that, the number of points won't trigger a suspension alone, but rather, the amount of points will determine the length of the suspension. If you are over 21-years-old and receive three convictions for traffic violations within a 12-month period, your driver's license can be suspended.
