Geoquest was promt and by far more personable. And Cost efective. Small job's are just as important to them.

Scheduled for specific tests to be complete in order to close on a property and rather than reach out to me directly to advise on what was and wasn't complete they charge me and then decide to give me an update. Even in the update, lots of passing blame and not taking ownership of the situation. Very unprofessional.

Horribly run company. Used their services because Calton Homes recommend using them.
Had them do a soil sample for a building I wanted to do an addition on. Firstly they charged me 200 dollars for their engineer to come out and bs for I'm not sure how long when it seems to me they could have just ordered the soil test. Then I'm not even made aware of the 200 dollar cost until I get a letter months later saying if I didn't pay it last month (as in it's already past due) there will be a fee.
Then when the city shows up to mark the area (which they said an engineer would be present for) I'm by myself

Chuck was awesome! Our covered back porch was sinking. He was very thorough and explained everything. He went above and beyond even waiting for the project manager to show up and explain what he found to him as well. Highly recommend!!

They do a good job, but the backlog and wait list is frustrating, but I think it may easily be outside of their control to forecast demand and complexity of the projects at first glance

I've known and worked with Chuck and Geoquest for over 10 years on literally dozens of jobs that we've done. Everything from simple structural details to very complex projects where we lifted and leveled hillside homes and modified 1895 Victorians into modern open floor plans without disturbing their "charm". I can say without equivocation that they have performed excellently.
It can be a bit frustrating when they won't drop all of their other commitments and immediately tend to mine, but that's a simple reality of life and honestly, a reflection of our mindset due to living in the age of on-demand
