Based on guidelines issued by the CDC and other government agencies, we are practicing "Social Distancing." Therefore, all person-to-person contact will be limited to contact necessary to conduct essential business. For Funeral Services that we provide during Phase II; we will be limiting public viewings to a "walk through."
Group gatherings will not be permitted in our facility during the time of public viewings. Our policy is that services will be conducted "privately" for family and close personal friends. During scheduled funerals, attendance will be limited to a maximum of one hundred (100) individuals, which includes family and close friends identified by the family.

In August of 1914, Charles Albert "Doll" Haywood, Sr., Colonel James H. Young, and eight other investors came together and organized the Raleigh Undertaking Company. A horse-drawn hearse was the modern transportation of the day. Building upon the success of the Raleigh Undertaking Service, "Doll" renamed the business to the Raleigh Funeral Home, and added ambulance service to St. Agnes Hospital for $3.00 per trip.
