Echocardiography for pets is very similar to Echocardiography in humans. This procedure allows veterinarians to get a good picture of the valve function of the heart, and is often a second test after an Electrocardigram (ECG). If any cardiac abnormalities are noted during the ECG, we may recommend an Echocardiogram, or an ultrasound of the heart, in order to visualize the heart chambers and muscles to make a diagnosis.

We understand that it is not always possible to bring your pet to our clinic. That is why we offer house calls and see animals in your own home. There are many challenges in caring for an animal that cannot be moved from their location for one reason or another. Please let us know of any specific requests or conditions that will require special attention.
