Every situation in life is an opportunity to grow and evolve. But not every situation is easy. Sometimes it's very difficult to see the gifts that are presented to us in a time of adversity. Sometimes we need help to find our way through. That's what I do, help people find their way through. Psychotherapy can be scary.
It is vitally important that you find a therapist with whom you feel a positive connection. I have experienced this with many people over 30+ years, and these clients have been wonderful teachers. If you have begun to search for the therapist that you resonate with, feel free to contact me. Wondering about my location, types of payment accepted, cancellation policy, how and when to contact me, my rates, and what happens if you need medication?

Therapy
Report
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is the name for something that can happen to someone after they experience a traumatic event outside of the range of normal human experience. These events could include abuse, combat, rape, natural disasters, as well as many other difficult circumstances.
When I work with people dealing with PTSD, I work with them to explore and understand how the traumatic event and the symptoms following have impacted their life.I find that this exploration and understanding often helps to reduce the intensity of their symptoms and return them to a level of functioning and interpersonal interaction that is more desirable.

Some insurance policies offer partial reimbursement for out of network mental or behavioral health services like I provide. Your insurance company may or may not cover out of network services, but if you do have out of network coverage, it is up to you to send in your own claim forms. My policy is for you to make payment in full at the time service is rendered.
Starting Therapy
Report
I've created a comfortable, quiet, and private space to enhance our work together. It's a place I hope we will be able to do good work together, free from the distractions of the outside world. I won't play psychological games with you. I want to get to know you and come to understand why you have come to see me.
What My Clients Say
Report
I thought it would be helpful for you to read what some of my clients have to say about our work together. Remember, finding the right therapist is very important. You must find someone you connect with, someone you trust, someone who you feel comfortable being around. The extraordinary people who have been my clients have taught me so much, and I am grateful to all of them.
