First, I hate hearing people had a bad experience with Beach Dentistry, but that isn't true for me.
I first showed up middle of December in 2019 for my evaluation. I looked like a Saber Tooth Tiger with two chipped teeth at the time. They were able to put an evaluation and plan of treatment together in a few days. They did mention wanting to get me in before the year ended so some of the treatment will be covered by 2019 insurance and some will be on 2020 insurance. They did all the communication with my insurance company and detailed how much Would be out of pocket.
The first two visits

I had the BEST experience at beach dentisty. Dr. Whelan and the staff were truly amazing. I had a tooth extracted and I was terrified for the surgery, but they made everything so easy. I couldn't believe how painless the experience was. I would recommend Dr Whelan time and time again!!! I'm so thankful for him and the staff.

Today was the last day of my implant journey. I had an appointment for my crown to be placed. This would be my second implant with Beach Dentistry. Everything went well just like it did the first time. I was very fortunate to have Dr. Whelan and his dental assistant Julie on this journey with me.

***WARNING UPDATE***This week, I received a call from Monica who left me a voicemail stating she wanted to speak with me regarding the refund that is owed to me. I called her back the next morning to let her know that I am not expecting any refund from Beach Dentistry. She said the refund is for the $470 (for the "FREE" X-rays I was charged for) and is in exchange for removing my negative online review :-O. Back in February, I fought the $470 charge with my credit card company and lost the battle when they sided with Beach Dentistry who supplied them with the documents they refused to

What a nightmare! I had a dental emergency involving a cracked tooth with extreme swelling and pain. I was told prior to going into the office that my evaluation would be complimentary and once I had finished antibiotics I could have my tooth extracted. Once they had me in the chair they took one X-ray and told me I needed to sign a $10,000.00 treatment plan for one extraction with bone graph and a permanent implant and they were doing everything right now! I had not even seen a Dentist!!! I told them I did not have that kind of money with me and asked for an antibiotic and they refused.

I got porcelain veneers done here and I am incredibly pleased with the final result!! I got my top 6 teeth done, canine to canine. I am so happy I could cry. It’s the best decision I ever made! My teeth before the veneers were short, due to years of grinding my teeth at night. They also had become quite gapped. When choosing veneer color, I chose a natural shade to match my bottom teeth so I don’t have to routinely get my other teeth bleached to match my veneers. Honestly, my teeth look so natural!! I had such a great experience at this office! I was a new patient with a dental emergency as soon as I called I was in a chair within 15 min.... the staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable and the extraction went better than expected as I was very nervous and scared. This place is a fraud. They offer services that they don't provide, take your money, and then continue to reschedule you with seemingly no intention to ever see you again. I was rescheduled 3 times! Do you know how this inconveniences people? How I rescheduled my time in order to make my appointment! To test my snatch and grab theory, I had my girlfriend call to make a new patient appointment on the day that they canceled me. Lo and behold they had NO issue fitting her in.

I've been to many dentists in my 65yrs, and beach dentistry is my favorite. Such a friendly and accommodating environment. No pain but plenty of gain, because they use the most modern anesthesia procedures. I've been unsuccessful for years trying to get my husband to replace a missing tooth, but when he went with me, he was so impressed with the service, he scheduled a appointment. Thank you beach team!

They were very friendly however, I live in South Orange County and found another dentist just down the street from my home.
I sent a request TWICE for an accounting of services provided and the cost. I sent via Priority mail and included a priority envelope with postage paid. I never heard back from them. I honestly cannot recommend them to anyone.

The staff is amazing, wonderful, kind, and very friendly.
Laura is the manager who takes great care of the patients and explains everything and makes you feel very comfortable being at the dentist. She always smiles and you can tell she really likes talking to the patients and connects with them. She is truly a blessing for this dentistry.

So..... I set up a consultation with this dental office a few weeks ago in hopes of taking care of a severe infection I've had for about 5 months now. Due to Covid-19 it was almost impossible to get in anywhere. This place texted me and told me I could be seen right away.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Whelan to my friends or family. Let alone my worse enemy.
I had a horrific experience because Dr. Whelan never communicated to me all of the variables of the treatment that I needed. My questions and concerns were dismissed. I called the office only to be put on hold repeatedly for long periods.
