About Us
Report
AAHA-Accredited since 1984, Cumming Veterinary Clinic has provided quality veterinary services for pet families in Cumming, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. Dr. FitzSimons bought the practice in 2005, and since that time, our clinic has tripled in size to accommodate the needs of our growing communities.
Meet The Team
Report
Dr. Jim FitzSimons has over 20 years experience serving the companion animals of Cumming and the surrounding communities. A graduate of the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, Dr. FitzSimons is experienced in emergency medicine as well as general practice. His areas of special interest include senior pet wellness, internal medicine, and oncology (the treatment of cancer).
Dental
Report
Dentistry ranks No. 2 on the list of the most undertreated wellness conditions in animals (No. 1 is obesity), making it the second most missed opportunity to keep our animals healthy and happy. At Cumming Veterinary Clinic, our high-speed, human-grade dental equipment allows us to perform a full range of dental services.
Diagnostics
Report
Our comprehensive in-house diagnostics are critical when your pet's health is at stake, and are also important for pre-anesthesia screenings and wellness visits when our primary goal is to rule out (or identify early-on) underlying health conditions. Our testing capabilities also help us manage serious medical problems such as diabetes, Cushing's Disease, Addison's Disease, lymphoma, and congestive heart failure.
Endoscopy
Report
Cumming Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer our pet families the advantages of non-surgical, minimally invasive endoscopy, which can be used for treatments as well as diagnostics. Endoscopy involves the insertion of specialized, telescopic cameras into the part of the body being treated through tiny, keyhole incisions.
