Earth Mama Photography

I am an earth mama. That is really how it all began. There was a birth and a camera and they came together to create something beautiful and this barefoot, pregnant mama happened to be the creator. That is really where it all began. I wish I could say that I have always been an earth mama. I wish I could say that I have always had a camera in my hand.

Our maternity sessions can take place outside or in-studio. It is really up to you! Outdoor sessions are perfect for those pops of color, sessions in the creek or open field and for clients who want a more natural feel to their images. If you are looking for a more boudoir/beauty feel or to do a maternity session in little to no clothing, then the studio is more for you.

Newborn Sessions typically take place in our Dallas studio. This allows you access to our huge amount of props and accessories. Newborn sessions take 2-3 hours and we spend that time working with your sweet little one. We love to be able to include parents and siblings as well. The best time for your newborn session to take place is within the first two weeks after birth.

Taking the time to document those moments that pass so quickly is important! We can help capture vacations, a day-in-the-life, holidays, or something as simple as an afternoon at home. Documentary-style sessions are not posed. We literally follow your family around with a camera. As crazy as it sounds to have your very own paparazzi, it is so much more than that.

We are lucky to live in a community that is typically very supportive of birth photography for all moms! In the DFW area, it is rare for me to be denied access to the OR to photograph the delivery, barring any emergent circumstances. I am typically allowed to document your babies first moments, you and your partner meeting your baby and all those little things that you might miss, like newborn exams, weight and measurements.
