The Original Pancake House was founded in Portland, Oregon by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. Today, we're bringing their vision of serving authentic pancakes, waffles, eggs and other traditional breakfast recipes to Normal, Illinois. We use only the best ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and our own sourdough starter.
We invite you to try our signature breakfast items like the Apple Pancake, which is baked to perfection with a deliciously rich cinnamon sugar glaze, or the Dutch Baby, an airy delight served with lemon, whipped butter, and powdered sugar. Our omelets are rolled in a skillet and then baked for a lighter consistency.

The Original Pancake House is known around the world for its authentic breakfast offerings, which are based on classic recipes, some passed down for generations. We've been serving food that we're proud of since 1953, and we're excited to have joined the Bloomington-Normal community in 2018. True hospitality starts when you're greeted at our door and extends throughout your meal and beyond.

A Danish favorite. 3 crepes filled with tart red cherries simmered in our Kijafa sauce and dusted with powdered sugar. Grilled brioche dipped in a rich egg and cream batter, topped with strawberries and whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar. Served with warm homemade strawberry syrup. Additional toppings $1.00 each.

Whether you need space for a team celebration, book club, or business meeting, our private event space seats 30, has multimedia capabilities, and is available to customers for no charge Monday through Friday.
