Dogs and cats don't often get cavities, but they can suffer from other types of dental disease. Gum disease is the number one illness found in both dogs and cats. Up to 80% of dogs and 70% of cats that don't receive proper dental care will develop signs of dental disease by the age of three. Emergencies are assessed when they arrive. Community Animal Hospitals is staffed and equipped to manage most pet emergency needs. If it becomes necessary to refer your pet to a specialist, CAH Veterinarians will stabilize your pet and call the veterinary referral hospital (of your choice) and make arrangements for you.
