Capturing a part of your rich tapestry brings meaning to my life and is why I photograph people. It's that precious. I was born in Alberta, Canada to what was referred to in those days as an unwed mother.

After feeling disappointed with the quality of photos taken at those corporate photography places, I wanted to find someone who would bring out the best in us and one who could get my young children to sit still and flash their beautiful smiles naturally, while playing or doing what they do. She found ways to take lots of beautiful photos of our family even as my boys were in constant motion.

This family gave some love notes to their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother by telling her what they love about her, and putting their words into an album with the images from the party.
