There's good news for an estimated 65,000 Oklahomans with certain prior felony convictions. In 2018, State Question 780 reduced some felony charges to misdemeanors. Since 780 was not retroactive, previous convictions remained classified as felonies. House Bill 1269 has solved this problem. The new bill also helps by making more Oklahomans eligible for expungement.
