We understand that visiting the dentist can be frightening at first, especially for children. That's why our Jacksonville office is designed to be a warm and welcoming environment, planned with your family's comfort in mind. Enhancing our patients' relaxation while in our care is a priority, which is why we offer comfortable seating, games, and smiles in every direction at our office for your ease.
Pediatric dentists, the pediatricians of dentistry, have an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school. We are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. The pediatric dentist is the most qualified to meet the needs of infants, children, pre-teens, teenagers, and special needs patients who all need different approaches when providing care.
Dr. Nicole Staman is a Jacksonville native who graduated from the Bolles School in 1999. She received her DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2009 and completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University (New Orleans) in 2011. She is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
If a single picture is worth a thousand words, then it is easy to reason that a child's smile is priceless. And in order to maintain that precious smile, you'll need to take your child to the dentist. Every child should visit the dentist at least once prior to their first birthday. This is a simple rule to remember, "first by the first, " though in practice, it may be more complicated.
If your child didn't have their initial dental visit during their first year of age, chances are you'll bring them in as a toddler, particularly as they begin to teeth and experiment more with putting things in their mouths. In any case, the toddler years are where you and your dentist will begin routine check-ups and cleanings for your child's newly-grown baby teeth.

All the doctors, techs and support staff are always so kinds and informative. They walk the kids and parents through everything and especially the kids. One of my children has sensory sensitivities and they are very patient and explain each thing before and as they do it which makes him so much more at ease. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they all are.

Dr. Soares and his assistant Ashley were simply amazing! My daughter had fallen and her tooth was wiggly and we were able to get in the next morning. Everyone was friendly, professional, and accommodating. She was pretty nervous but with their help, she was able to cooperate. We will most certainly be back to establish care!

If you are looking for a place that makes your child (and yourself) feel at ease, this is it! They make your child feel involved and talk them through procedures. They show the parent what they are doing as well. Not one unfriendly person in the building. Well worth the drive, don’t hesitate to trust this practice with your precious little one’s care!

We were recommended to this office by my son’s pediatrician due to the special needs of my son. The doctors are very patient and worked well with my sons issue. After a few visits my son was comfortable with the oral exam and cleaning. Great doctors and great staff. Highly recommend this dentist office…..highly!!

We came here because my daughter had a cavity that needed to be dealt with. We have 5 kids and over the years we have been to several other dentist. I must say that Dr. Steve took great care of our daughter and was very kind, knowledgeable and courteous. The staff members are all so nice and everyone does their best to make sure the child and parents are comfortable. I will be returning here to have all dental work done for our daughter and I will be bringing my other children here as well.

I had never been to this dentist before. When my daughter had an accident on the playground I was referred to this office. They were able to see me (my daughter) almost immediately, which I know was difficult for them since they had a full schedule that day. Everyone I interacted with was kind, patient, and friendly towards me and my daughter. The office was very clean and inviting. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here, and I’m definitely going to continue bringing my daughter here, even though it’s rather far from my house.

I switched my daughter to this dentist because her old dentist never called me back for a follow up in regards to scheduling her next dentist appointment and somehow forgot that she has seen them before. I found this place and was impressed with my visit. Every staff member was friendly and very welcoming. While my child was getting her teeth cleaned the lady doing the cleaning was very interactive with my child and made her feel welcomed. The doctor came in and was the same way as well. I definitely will be continuing to come here. Also, the place is kid friendly and the decor is amazing inside
