Quality of life suffers - we suffer - when we feel pushed, pulled, judged, pressured, or used by people who are important to us. We look away from that pain and cope - at home, at work, and in the world. We lose ourselves and our dreams. If that's you, individual counseling or group therapy can help.
Most likely there are patterns you are repeating. And, even if some of the people in your life are difficult, there's a reason you have those people in your life, and there are ways you relate to them that you can change. You have the power to feel better. You have the power to do better, too.

Individual Counseling
Report
When you find the right therapist, you form a relationship that's open, authentic and trusting. You tell your story to someone who listens deeply and works to understand it accurately. That alone can help you understand yourself better and treat yourself with more compassion. The other thing it does is point the way for change - the kind of change that makes you happier and more successful.
Group Counseling
Report
Relationships can be tough. No matter how much you love your spouse, partner, kids, mom, dad, siblings, they can pin your stress meter to MAX. Add to that a bad day with the boss or staff, tight deadlines, unreasonable clients, a mortgage, car payments and tuition, and your volcano is about to blow.

Is there someone in your life who is always upset, or pouting or disappointed? Or is there someone who is always angry and blaming other people? Are they always the victim and other people are stupid or inferior, or other people are mean and uncaring? If you treated a child the way you treat yourself, would someone need to call the authorities?
