Forell | Elsesser Engineers is a structural engineering firm founded by structural engineers, Nicholas Forell and Eric Elsesser, in 1960. The company is headquartered in San Francisco's Financial District. Nicholas Forell was born in Germany in 1923.
A graduate of Brown University, Forell moved to San Francisco and joined the architecture and engineering firm of John Lyon Reid and Partners (later called Reid, Rockwell, Banwell, and Tarics) and became Chief Engineer.Forell started his own practice in 1960. Eric Elsesser, a San Francisco native and Stanford University graduate, worked for the established firm of John Blume and Associates (now part of URS) in the 1950's and 1960's.

The Dance of Life - A 12-foot tall brushed stainless steel sculpture to be permanently displayed in the center of the main lobby area in the new Sansum Ridley-Tree Cancer Clinic in Santa Barbara, California.
