Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive range of small animal veterinary services, from routine medical care to advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures. While we see mostly dogs and cats, we enjoy caring for other critters as well, everything from geckos to ferrets to rabbits as well as barnyard pets including small ruminants and fowl.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, practice owner Dr. Ashlee Andrews received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2005. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico where she was a member of the Lobo track and cross country teams and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001.

Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital has an outstanding technical staff who are knowledgeable, caring and professional. I live in the South Valley and have worked at Rio Bravo for 30+ years. I have always loved animals and have had many of them. I enjoy getting to know the animals as well as the people who bring them in, especially the people who have been coming here at least as long as I have worked here.

Rio Bravo provides a safe, clean, secure and affordable boarding kennel for your dogs and cats. Dogs have access to indoor and fenced outdoor runs. Cats are housed in a separate facility in spacious cat kennels. We are conveniently located near the airport. Because we are a full service veterinary hospital, our boarding kennel offers advantages other boarding facilities simply cannot provide.
