Joe Yannessa has been in the automotive industry for 25 years. He has been an ASE-(American Standard of Excellence) Certified technician for 20 years. Technicians must pass eight areas of testing-air conditioning and heating, steering and suspension, engine repair, brakes, automatic transmission, manual transmission, electrical, and engine performance- to become ASE-certified.

Tech Tip: If your check engine light is on, the computer is telling you that the vehicle may not be running up to par. A lot of times going and getting the free computer read out only tells you the codes stored in the vehicle's computer (PCM) This does not mean that each of those components are bad.
