Christie brings an extensive background to our practice; she has 17 years' experience as a special educator and advanced degrees in sociology, education leadership and special education. As our office manager and Dr. Barker's spouse and business partner, she wears many hats. As a dental hygienist, the love and friendship that I develop with my patients is truly priceless.
Our Story

Dr. Barker and his wife Christie wanted it to represent something close to their heart. One of the first things that came to her mind was her great grandmother's treasured magnolia plates. Christie's great grandmother, who they affectionately called "Sweet Thang", was born in 1904. She survived the Great Depression, helping raise her siblings in an orphanage, and the early death of her husband.

Our family and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Lane Barker has over 20 years of experience in all phases of general dentistry and has completed additional training in facial aesthetic services such as Botox and dermal fillers.

Dr. Barker is originally from Athens, Georgia. He graduated Valedictorian from Jefferson High School in 1990 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1994. After completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Barker returned home to Athens to practice general and cosmetic dentistry.
