Brothers Laki "Bill" (standing left) and George Sgourakis (in his mother's lap) with sister Voula were born in Arfara (), a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. As youths in Greece, they could not afford to visit the Greek Islands. The brothers came to America and immigrated to Omaha in 1966.
