East Mesa Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics has pediatric dental specialists on staff overseeing our dental operations. Pediatric dentists are children's dentists who elect to take an extra two years of schooling to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Our children's dentists work with children aged nine months to 18 years, and with special needs patients up to 26 years.
No matter how minor or serious your child's needs are, we have the knowledge and technology upon which you can rely. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, Kara earned her Bachelor of Science in biology cum laude from High Point University in North Carolina. She attended AT Still University where she achieved her dental degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and her Masters in public health from the College of Graduate Health Sciences.

If you'd like to share some kind words and smiles, please ask our front desk staff for a comment card at your next appointment. We'd love to hear about your experience! Yesterday, I went in to have two cavities filled. Dr. Andersen and Miss Crystal were able to fix me up. I wanted to email y'all and say how thankful I am for Dr. Andersen's patience and kindness.
Pediatric Dental FAQs

Below are common questions and our answers about the best way to care for children's teeth. We recommend that you make an appointment to see the dentist as soon as your child gets her first tooth. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by six months after their first tooth erupts, or at one year of age, whichever comes first.
