Dr. Pat attended Indiana University for undergraduate studies and graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1990. While at Loyola, he was President of the Student Congress, he was in the Oral Surgery Honors program and he won Loyola's prestigious Presidential Medallion for leadership, scholarship and clinical excellence.
