Office of Dr. Lisa Yarborough and Dr. Michelle Skierkowski, Board Certified Pediatric Dentists, serving the areas of Tualatin, Oregon and the surrounding cities of Portland, Tigard and Lake Oswego. We focus on the individual needs of each child to create and maintain healthy smiles and healthy kids.

We provide specialized care for infants, children and teens in a warm and compassionate environment and are dedicated to walking alongside you in establishing healthy habits. My family loves Dr Lisa. She has seen my kids since they were little. They get so excited to go to the dentist since her staff makes it such a good experience for little ones.

Cavities
Report
Hundreds of strains of bacteria thrive in the warm, moist environment of the mouth. Some are beneficial, but others are harmful to teeth and gums. They form a sticky film of plaque that traps molecules of food. Bacteria are living organisms. They feast on sugars and starches in the plaque, then excrete toxins that irritate gums and acids that erode important minerals in tooth enamel.
Fluoride
Report
For this reason, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Medical Association believe that topical fluoride is necessary for good oral health. Because of this, you may be wondering if your child needs fluoride treatments. Often water is enhanced with fluoride, so additional fluoride treatments are not necessary.
