The Eagle Creek Animal Clinic has been a well-established practice on the west side of Indianapolis for many years. Dr. James Baughn, who had practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Indianapolis since 1972, founded the clinic in 1982 with himself as the only doctor and one other staff member.

In 2007, Dr. Barry Foster, with over 16 years of experience working with Dr. Baughn at the clinic, became the owner of the practice. Dr. Baughn retired in 2008 after over 30 years of practicing veterinary medicine. Since its founding in 1982, the Eagle Creek Animal Clinic has grown to employ four veterinarians and a support staff of highly trained professionals.

Social Commitment
Report
Eagle Creek Animal Clinic has a long history of responsible citizenship. We have tried, and continue to try, to run our business so that it benefits both our local community and our environment. Over the decades, we have participated in events with the Indy Fever, the Humane Society of Indianapolis, Jamison Camp, Special Olympics Indiana, and many others.
Wellness & Vaccinations
Report
Annual and semi-annual wellness exams are very important and allow your veterinarian to evaluate your pets external and internal health, along with preventing disease in the future. We keep track of what vaccines your pet is due for and can help you choose preventative products for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and parasites.
Spays & Neuters
Report
Our spay and neuter services are overseen by a full medical and surgery team from start to finish. We run diagnostic bloodwork with our in-house laboratory machines prior to anesthesia to check all organ functions, and monitor temperature and vitals throughout the day. Intravenous catheters are placed to allow a direct line for hydrating fluids and any medications needed should an emergency situation arise.
Dentistry
Report
Just as in humans, your pet's dental health can seriously affect its overall health. Bad odor, difficulty eating, and even recurring infections and illnesses may be caused by poor dental health. The kidneys, heart, and liver are all directly affected by periodontal disease. A build-up of tartar can cause more expensive problems later on, such as dental abscesses and jaw problems.
