My husband and I wanted an intimate ceremony under the redwoods and Sarah led us to the perfect spot. She took candids of us getting ready - fantastic.

You two love each other and I guide you into pretty light so you can do the work of being awesome together. When all is said and done we have had a wonderful evening together and you get photographs that will show you for years to come just how beautiful you are.

Tiny weddings make my heart sing. It's no secret I wish Dustin and I had run off to the woods to say our I Do's. There is such power in a wedding where you have each other and that is enough. Photographing elopements is such a joy to my life and balm to my soul. The intimate nature of these weddings breaks down walls, leaving all of us involved vulnerable to the inescapable beauty of love.

I used to hate people telling me to cherish my kids when they were babies and toddlers and even now as they get older because it all goes by so fast. I don't hate it now, because I have realized just how true it is. Life moves SO fast. The days are long, but the years are short. TRUTH! I feel like in the blink of an eye my kids went from toothless grins and chubby fingers to braces and long limbs.

Sarah and Dustin are absolutely amazing photographers. We had our engagement session in Davis (around UC Davis campus, where my husband and I met), and our wedding in San Jose with Sarah Maren Photography. The weather unexpectedly turned ugly on our engagement session day and it absolutely poured and hailed on us, but both Sarah and Dustin were troopers (even if they were soaked!).
