
Dr. Rana went to Stanford University for her undergraduate education. She pursued her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed four years of adult psychiatry training at the University of California, Los Angeles' Semel Institute of Human Behavior and Neuroscience and later returned to Stanford to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.
She is board certified in adult psychiatry and recently took her child psychiatry board exams. After completing her fellowship, she worked as the medical director for the intensive outpatient program for adolescents and families at the Bay Area Children's Association, a non-profit agency in California.

Melissa earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology (with a Marriage and Family Specialization) from The University of Texas at Tyler. She has experience in different clinical settings including MHMR, residential boarding school, and most recently in private practice. Melissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience performing academic testing.

Consequently, adults are responsible for making your own appointments. If for any reason, an adult is unable to fulfill this responsibility, Spring Grove Counseling will need a release in writing designating a responsible party to act in your place.
