Dr. Louis J. Sawan is an owner and the Dental Director of Dedham Dental Associates. Dr. Sawan was born and raised in Dedham, graduated from Dedham High School in 1979, and is still deeply committed to the people and community of Dedham at all levels. After graduating from Northeastern University in 1984 with two Bachelor Degrees, he was accepted to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Marina Rusinova, an owner of Dedham Dental Associates, has been practicing here and abroad for 30 years. As a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Rusinova received her degree from the St. Petersburg Dental School in 1978. While in Russia, she practiced for 14 years prior to immigrating to the United States in 1992.

Inspired by his dentist and later, his older sister, he is now a general dentist passionate about his field and enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for oral health awareness with his patients as well.

Dr. Virginia Karapanou, our endodontist ( or root canal specialist) is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists, and for twenty years, has been an Associate Professor of Endodontics, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
As well as her dental degree, she has an Advanced Studies Certificate in Endodontics, and a Masters of Dental Research from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.Her focus for her Masters was in pulpal inflammatory mediators and diagnostic biomarkers. She has also been in private practice limited to Endodontics since 1994.
