I'm a Bay Area California based digital lifestyle photographer. Until finding my footing in the world of children and family photography, I worked as a nanny while I got my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Mills College in Oakland. My passion for working with families really fuels my work, and my focus is on capturing that connection and those tender moments, and what would a family photo session be without putting your family's goofy side on display?

Emmalaine has a special gift that makes me feel really comfortable and beautiful and open! She really put my husband and I at ease and does a wonderful job suggesting/guiding you with poses and light but also hearing what's important for you and what you're looking for.
Cannot recommend her enough! I love that she can continue to document as my little family grows.

Emmalaine was so easy and SO much fun to work with! She is clearly gifted at working with young children and at photography and capturing sweet family moments, genuine smiles, and LOVE in her photos! This was our first family mini session with her and we will certainly hire her again :)

Working with Emmalaine was amazing! She's so easy to be around and makes you feel incredibly comfortable the second you meet her. Emmalaine is a super talented photographer... I drooled over her Instagram photos and hired her the second I saw her portfolio. Whether you're looking for family photos, couple portraits, or wedding photos, you're in amazing hands. Emmalaine is a gem. She is a young, energetic, talented soul that is amazing with young children as well as adults (especially those who actually hate being photographed). She is magically gifted in capturing the chemistry between the subjects she photographs, and has the best eye for lighting. She's is also a joy to be around, which makes photoshoots that can most often be really awkward, actually lots of fun!

We are so lucky to have discovered Emmalaine last year! We just completed another session with her this year and plan to continue to work with her as long as she doesn't mind dealing with us! :) If you've seen her work, it's obvious she has an exquisite eye and talent, but to top if all off, she is easygoing, fun, and a pleasure to be with. She also has a knack for working with little ones and knows exactly how to get them to cooperate... our boys adore her and turn into such hams around her. Highly recommend Emmalaine for family photos, especially if you have young kids!

Emmalaine does an excellent job with family photography. Her images are about connections. Children don't feel like they are even being photographed they are just having fun and laughing. Her work as a family photographer stands out she loves children and is great at working with families of all ages. If you want authentic images this is your photographer. She's professional, easy going, and I love working with her. Highly recommend her work.

Working with Emmalaine was such a dream! Emmalaine has been a very close friend to me for a long time, but let me tell you: that didn't stop me from being nervous about a photo shoot. I never had my photo taken professionally before, so coming up to the site, I definitely had some nerves. But Emmalaine made the whole experience SO easy and SO fun! Firstly, Emmalaine had really done her homework and found a beautiful site in the Marin Headlands. She's a Bay Area native so she knows some great spots. Secondly, the whole process felt so organic and natural. We were laughing and having fun the WHOLE
