Love the fish and chips. Sadly they don’t do mushy peas like authentic f&c places, but they do a good combo of fish and chips. I also love their crab cakes but very hard to come by those since their kind of seasonal. The owners are amazingly kind and friendly folks. Their employees are attentive. A real gem in Carlsbad.

Been here twice in our SoCal vacation. First time for fabulous seafood tacos and fresh fish from the market. Bought 2 nights worth of fresh fish and both were awesome. Finished our hikes at Torrey Pines and decided to detour here for another couple meals. The yellowtail was just being added to the case and was so fresh. Tomorrow is the sea bass, can't wait! Great place for dine in and fresh catch. Super friendly service. Be sure to tip your fish monger

Used to be a loyal customer. Staff is repeatedly not adhering to current California mask mandate. I will not return until management enforces the mask mandate for their staff. Sorry Sam’s widow, you need to get tough on your staff. You ask your customers to do it, you need to ask your staff to do it too.

If you like calamari, you have to try it here. The appetizer is a nice calamari steak that is fried and definitely splurge on the cocktail sauce as it seems like it's made fresh here. It was one of the best we've had. The Boston clam chowder was also a nice treat with a nice helping of clams.
We also got the ahi sandwich, which was a bit on the pricy side (~$18) for a mediocre cut of ahi with chewy silver skin tissue running through the entire cut of meat. Hopefully this was just a bad cut this time? Do however try the fish and chips. The fries were homemade and it was a nice size piece of fish

Absolutely top notch, delicious food! We’ve been on a quest to check out several local restaurants for fish and chips and this has been our favorite so far! Fresh fish perfectly battered and seasoned without being heavy and greasy. The fish was flaky and tender. We are picky about the tarter sauce and this was awesome! Has a dill flavor and is well seasoned. We ordered one basket of fish and chips and one basket of shrimp and chips. All of it was great. Great service when ordering at the counter.

The scallops I just purchased tonight and pan seared with the king prawns were fantastic. Topped it with my Mango habanero & coconut rum sauce. The young man who helped me (sorry I forgot his name) was super helpful, congenial and offered options when I couldn't make a decision. Great customer service. I'll be back!!!
