General Dentistry
Good oral hygiene is imperative not only for your oral health but also for your overall health. Research has found that infections and disease that start off in the gums can spread to the rest of the body and increase your risk of serious health problems. Fortunately, good oral care can drastically lessen your chances of developing diseases and infections in the mouth and beyond.
Dental Sealants
From a young age, we are taught that brushing and flossing are essential to the prevention of cavities and tooth decay. But sometimes these measures are not enough, especially when it comes to those hard-to-reach areas in the back of the mouth. To protect your or your child's teeth from decay, Dr. Robert Milner may recommend dental sealants.
Dental Fillings
When your teeth have become damaged by cavities, dental fillings are the first line of defense in restoring your oral health. In past decades, dental fillings were made of amalgam (silver-mercury) material. Although strong and durable, amalgam fillings leave a noticeable and unattractive mark on teeth.
Best Brushing Technique
Confused by all the oral hygiene choices that line the store shelves? Smart shoppers look for a toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste that display the ADA Seal of Acceptance. The seal is your assurance that the product has met the ADA's criteria for safety and effectiveness. Unless your dentist recommends otherwise, select a soft-bristled toothbrush in a size and shape that will fit your mouth comfortably.
