How did you get into photography? When I had my first child, I bought a halfway decent SLR camera and became obsessed with taking her picture, researching, studying how to get it better. With lots of encouragement from my husband and best friend, I started to take it more seriously. It was a totally organic process.

Sarah was truly wonderful. She was extremely accommodating and could always be reached by phone or email. She assisted me in planning the photos for our wedding day, a challenging task given the two-time zone difference.
Sarah and her assistant kept us laughing throughout and our photos turned out perfectly. After receiving the final pictures, I was struck by the efforts they made to capture shots during the ceremony, even climbing through shrubs to get our faces in frame. I was impressed by the creativity of the shots and the use of focus throughout the collection. They have a magical ability to capture light.
I would highly recommend her to anyone. Leo and I hope to work with her again for our anniversary photo shoot when we return to Santa Rosa.

I began searching for a wedding photographer by seeking recommendations, but as a Sonoma county transplant, I quickly ran out of people to ask. I then turned to Yelp and started browsing through highly-rated local photographers and their websites. Sarah has a large and loyal following. After looking through years of her pictures, I noticed a common theme - all the photos featured genuinely happy individuals. None of the people in the photos appeared stiff, forced, or posed.
I found that from the initial point of contact, Sarah was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. My entire family loved Sarah, and both she and her assistant were exceptional on the day of the wedding, working tirelessly to capture beautiful images throughout every stage of the event. I did not expect to love all the photos, but I do. My husband and I were emotionally moved by the beautiful work. Sarah seemed to understand us and captured our natural, rustic aesthetic by taking photos in the redwoods. We are extremely happy with the results. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and the whole wedding party and my family were impressed by how well Sarah, her assistant, and the DJ communicated and created a smooth, organized flow based on a loose timetable I had created.
Every portrait of family and friends is consistent with Sarah's style, and everyone appears comfortable, happy, and genuine. We couldn't be happier and are very grateful to Sarah. I don't know where to begin with how awesome of an experience this was for my wife and I. Great setting, and Sarah was a pleasure to work with. We had our beautiful photos delivered to us the next day. We have a lot of family photos that will last a lifetime now; the hard part is choosing the ones we want to frame and hang in our home. We will continue to use her for family photos, birthday parties, baby photos, and any other reason we can think of. GREAT GREAT GREAT is all I can say!

Sarah was such an impressive wedding photographer! She remained calm and professional even when the wedding reception started to get a little crazy, and the finished product was amazing. She was willing to take any suggestions for staging photos so we got some really cute pictures that showcase our personalities and the personalities of our bridal party. We got married on my parent's twenty-fifth anniversary and Sarah got a bunch of pictures of my parents together. My dad says the pictures of him and my mom, "Are way better than the [stuff] from their actual wedding."
