Ahren joined the Sharkus team in 2019. She is originally from Oregon, moved around on a few other adventures, and ultimately returned to her roots. She has worked in the dental field for 10 years and loves learning about everything related to the dental world. She is very excited to be working and assisting others in her hometown.

Systemic Diseases - diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, blood cell disorders, HIV infections and AIDS.

Lack of regular brushing and flossing leaves small food particles wedged between the teeth that can collect bacteria and emit chemicals, like hydrogen sulfide -the same compound that gives rotten eggs their characteristic smell. Brushing alone will not cure certain cases of halitosis (bad breath). Dry Mouth is an ideal breeding ground for poor oral health which can lead to not only bad breath but also cavities and mouth infections.

A semi-annual oral cancer screening needs to become routine in managing your overall health. We genuinely care about your well-being so we offer complimentary screenings during your exam. Oral cancer most commonly involves the lips or the tongue. However, it may also occur on the cheek lining, floor of the mouth, gums (gingiva), or roof of the mouth (palate).
