I'm a photojournalistic photographer. While I always have poses I suggest, my main goal is to make people comfortable, because that makes the best photographs. I don't interrupt loving moments unless it's an emergency. Although I carry a busload of equipment to every shoot, I try not to influence the vibe you're creating.

My husband and I are both introverts. The worst part of the wedding was being the center of attention, and I got horrible stage fright right before. If I were to marry Matt again, we would pick an epic location at the top of a mountain, with a beautiful vista, and marry each other right at sunset. Eloping, in the past few years, has had a resurgence.

Maternity photos are amazing. You're at a time in your life where everything is about to change, and, especially with your first, there's an awe-infused tension that surrounds a couple about to have a baby. I always encourage people to take pictures at significant times in their lives. Not just because I'm a photographer.
