Since 2003, Tree Wizard has served Columbia and Central Missouri with comprehensive tree care delivered by a trained and professional team. Our company remains family-owned and locally operated, following the same standard established by Chris Haubner when he founded the business. Chris is an ISA Certified Arborist, and our services reflect that expertise through careful tree health assessments, disease and pest diagnosis, Emerald Ash Borer evaluation and treatment, and professional tree care recommendations. We handle tree removal, pruning and trimming, stump grinding, crane removal, storm cleanup, emergency response, and assistance with insurance claims. Every job is approached with safety, efficiency, and consideration for the property involved.
Our capabilities extend from routine tree maintenance to complex and hazardous work. We remove dead, damaged, unwanted, or dangerous trees, including trees in tight-access locations and near structures. Precision pruning helps control growth, improve tree health, and maintain clearance from roofs and power lines. Stump grinding leaves a clean surface suitable for mowing, planting, or building, with chips hauled away upon request. When storms cause damage, we clear limbs, trunks, and debris and document the situation for insurance purposes. For urgent situations, including trees on roofs, vehicles, structures, or power lines, we provide emergency response seven days a week.

Services
Our tree removal service addresses hazardous, declining, and storm-damaged trees from start to finish. Before work begins, we provide a straightforward written estimate and assess concerns such as structural problems, root health, decay, and canopy weight. We handle removal, debris and brush cleanup, and wood disposal or cutting into firewood rounds according to your preference.
We trim and prune trees when clear conditions indicate professional attention is needed, including branches contacting structures, unbalanced growth, visible dead limbs, rubbing branches, storm damage, or excessive new growth. Structural pruning can strengthen young and mid-age trees, while deadwood and clearance pruning address safety concerns. We also follow appropriate seasonal practices and established pruning standards.
Our emergency tree service addresses hazardous conditions that require immediate attention, including trees on structures, blocked access, hanging limbs, and unstable trees after storms. We work efficiently to remove dangerous trees and restore access when needed. For insurance purposes, we photograph the scene, document the work, and provide a detailed invoice describing the damage and removal.
Following a storm, we provide professional cleanup for downed trees, broken branches, and related debris. Our work includes careful tree removal, proper pruning of damaged limbs, complete debris hauling, and evaluation of trees that may have sustained hidden damage. Crane assistance, bucket trucks, chippers, and additional crew support are available when required.
We provide Emerald Ash Borer treatment for ash trees affected by this established pest. Our ISA Certified Arborist evaluates each tree to determine whether treatment remains appropriate. Trunk injection is available and typically provides protection for two years. We consider tree condition, canopy loss, site conditions, and infestation stage before recommending treatment.
Choosing and planting a tree correctly can prevent problems that may remain hidden for years. We evaluate the planting site and recommend suitable species based on drainage, sunlight, overhead lines, mature size, and existing conditions. Proper depth is a priority, followed by practical aftercare instructions to help the tree establish successfully through its first growing seasons.
Our land clearing service covers projects ranging from individual overgrown lots to multi-acre rural properties. We remove standing trees and brush, grind stumps below grade or flush as needed, and manage debris based on your preferences. During the estimate, we review access, scope, and end use so the work and pricing reflect the project requirements.
We handle residential and commercial landscape projects with one coordinated crew, eliminating the need to arrange separate contractors for removal, drainage, hardscape, and planting. Services include tree and shrub removal, stump grinding, planting, mulching, bed edging, retaining walls, and French drains. Our work concludes with proper spacing, finishing touches, and complete debris cleanup, supported by a written estimate. People

I needed 27 trees planted. These guys had great ratings, so I really wanted to use them. They are a small'ish company that stays super busy because they do a great job. After a little initial frustration trying to get in touch with them, it was well worth the trouble. They lived up to their ratings and actually did do a great job. They worked quickly, professionally, and did everything that needed done with the tree planting (e.g. composting, mulching, etc.) and even took care of a special request or two. They took less than half a day to get it all done and their prices were well-within the market norms. I can't even imagine trying to do my own planting from now on. I've got to recommend them. Call them sooner rather than later to make sure you can get on their schedule.

Amazing service. Got a quote on Friday and they were out the next Monday. Very professional and considerate of the surrounding area. They made it seem like there was never a tree to begin with!!! I would recommend anyone in the area to consider the Tree Wizard to be their first choice. They will not disappoint.

Tree Wizard, Inc. helped us plant several new trees in our backyard, and the entire experience was great. They guided us on the best species for our soil and sun exposure, and made sure each tree was planted properly for long-term growth. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and took real care in their work. The yard already feels more alivecant wait to see the trees flourish over time!

Tree Wizard did an outstanding job! They bid two large jobs for me and got to them quickly. On top of that, they went above and beyond by helping a few neighbors in the West Ash area who stopped by the job site asking for assistance. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to help really stand out. I look forward to working with them again in the future. Highly recommend!

We had a portion of a very large tree fall on our roof. We contacted Tree Wizard and they came out after hours and removed what had fallen on our roof immediately, saving us from any damage to our roof. They came a few days later to walk the yard with us, to talk about what tree limbs needed to be removed. Then they were out 2 days later to trim out dead limbs from our large tree in front and from a tree in the back and also took care of a number of tree stumps that needed to be ground down. The guys who took care of our trees were all very kind, knowledgeable and professional and the cost was very reasonable!! We couldn't ask for more!! Tree Wizard has a new customer in us!!

They know about trees and do a great job. The techs recommended further treatment for our tree and we are using them again. My only complaint is that they always seem to have only voice mail available. I rarely speak to a real person. However, they are highly responsive to email and resolve any billing issue or appointment concern.

I've needed a tree pruned back for almost a year. Called other places and was given very long wait times or forgotten about. Called tree wizard, and they were our to evaluate our within 24 hours, and told me it would be about a week to get someone out. Right on time, they had a crew out and the trees trimmed safely and look good. Even cleaned up the downed branches in the yard. Very happy with the service.

We had three trees close the house that needed removed. The trees were very accessible and very dead. They laid mats to protect the grass, and cleaned up everything afterward and spread mulch. We also had them provide injections to the two remaining birch trees to try to save them. These guys worked quickly, were professional and on time, and we were happy they could fit us into their busy schedule.
