Perseverance would be an understatement in describing Derricks reliability in working w/ me. W/ one investment property already under my belt, in Old Town, another was desired. Initially starting out w/ this one objective, to find life throwing me a curve ball w/ a minor health issue, all was put on ice, including me. Once I was back up and running, Derrick was present, not missing a beat. Basically, to start over. I can't thank him enough for his patience, knowledge and sense of humor..and 0 pressure. We fairly quickly managed to get 2 properties closed, which w/in those two were some unexpected and unnecessary challenges. Once again perseverance prevailed. These closing would not have happened sans Derricks tenacity. While I hope to be two and counting w/ Derrick, I hope more to be a reliable referral source. He so deserves every opportunity.

We came to Park City to ski 2.5 years ago. I went online to look at houses. I found Derrik and we had a long chat. I told him I was in no hurry but after 6 trips and many showing we finally closed on a house and he was with us every step of the way. 880 days from meeting him to close and NEVER felt rushed and he always showed us whatever we wanted to see. It started when I did a google search for Park City Utah properties, saw a house I liked and it was an ad listed by Derrik. He contacted me by email, I told him what I was looking for and that I'd be in Park City 6 months from then to look at properties. During that six months he sent me a number of houses that fit my criteria and when we arrived we met him, liked him immediately and started looking at houses. It took us three more trips to find the perfect house, but find the perfect house we did! Derrik is friendly, patent, funny and knows Park City real estate. It was a fun, easy, delightful experience. As a former realtor, I have an insight into the business and had worked with many realtors of varying ability. On our initial contact by phone, Derrik asked probing questions, but intently listened to our description of what we were looking for in a Park City/Deer Valley home. Within 5 minutes he had me pull up on my computer a home that he thought matched our description - it was spot on. Derrik is everything one could want in a realtor: smart, integrity, high business sense, honest, reliable, knows his market like the back of his hand, and most of all, a genuinely nice person who makes you comfortable throughout the process. Upon visiting (we flew in from Ohio and had one day to look), we saw virtually the entire Park City/Deer Valley and surrounding areas, almost 80,000 sq ft of real estate in one day! BTW did I mention the man has stamina! We would never consider working with anyone else.

Demanding, short-tempered, pessimistic and genuinely unimpressed with agents in general. Derrik was a GAME CHANGER! Since then, he has become a trusted adviser and a go-to source for me and my clients. He is knowledgeable, predictable and dependable but most impressive is his work ethic. We recently used Derrik Carlson to sell our home that we have lived in for the last couple years. Derrik helped us purchase this home in 2013 and we were thrilled with it these last two years.
