Dan grew up around grease, grit, and good work ethic, literally. From riding along in a tow truck with his dad, a factory GM technician, to turning wrenches in his own garage, cars have always been part of his story.
After moving to Boise in 2004, Dan worked full-time as a mechanic while building side work into what became Sager and Sons Auto, a shop built on integrity, precision, and community. Today he leads the team specializing in advanced diagnostics, drivability, and complex repairs.

Katie is the structure and spirit behind the shop. With a degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University and a background in art and psychology, she brings a rare blend of organization, creativity, and human understanding to every part of the operation.

I take both my personal and business vehicles to Sager and Sons Automotive, and I couldnt be happier with the service. Dan and his team are trustworthy, professional, and consistently go above and beyond. Repairs are always done timely and correctly, and they take the time to explain whats needed without ever trying to upsell. Its rare to find an auto repair shop you can truly rely on, but Sager and Sons has earned my complete trust. Highly recommend.

A great local shop that takes care of their customers. Had some major issues with our Jeep over the last year. I was getting the run around from other places. Dan and his team took the time to properly diagnose the issue and was able to get things fixed up. Highly recommend to anyone in the Teasure Valley!

I'm not one to normally write reviews but this experience certainly merits it. I've known Dan and his family for a few years and I can say that he is hands down one of the best mechanics in the area. He runs a great shop and is very honest with his work. I had some problems with my car that I couldn't fix myself and unfortunately have been dealing with an unknowledgeable/dishonest shop for a few months. Dan didn't hesitate to help when I reached out and even took time out of his weekend to fix my issue because I live to far to away to come on a weekday. I'm always nervous to take my car somewhere to get some work done on it because I'm afraid they will overcharge/do bad work which has been my recent experience, but I wouldn't hesitate to take my car to Sager & Son's. They're honest, they use good parts, and they do great work!

I've brought in two vehicles to have serviced. The first I got a prompt response with video and pictures of what was being seen. My truck has had several issues recently. Each time, it was seen quickly and I was given an honest assessment and estimate of what needed to be done. They have amazing customer service and genuinely wanted to do what is best for me as the customer!

Sager & Sons did and absolutely amazing job fixing our Ford F-350. We stopped by Sager & Sons for a 2nd opinion after being quoted by Ford $25K+ for a new motor. We are so very glad we did. They did absolutely awesome work we received great communication even videos at times throughout the progress extremely reasonably priced! Very impressed we will be back for all our vehicles needs.

Awesome all around service. Very timely repair, got us back on the road within 48 hours of drop off. (would have been same day if parts wouldn't have had to be ordered) Very friendly customer service, very transparent with what's going on with the vehicle, I was texted videos even which has never been done at any mechanic I've ever been too. Im glad I took a chance on this small shop and found my permanent mechanic going forward! Thanks again Sager & Sons look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

Sager and sons is a top notch auto repair shop. Out of three different diagnostics Dan was the only one that found the true problem with my trucks engine. Not only was he able to do a complete repair, he sent videos with in depth detail. They only used the best parts for the job. Dan is full of powerful knowledge. He went above and beyond. Shyanne in the office kept us informed with great communication all the way. She also was a greatly appreciated help. I would recommend these guys for all my auto repair. Can"t thank them enough for solving a huge problem when in a time of need.

I bought a 20 yr old Toyota Avalon and it needed some work. Dan was able to diagnose and fix everything it needed. If it wasn't his specialty he had others come to him and get it done (windshield and needed to be rekeyed) and I didn't have to drive all over the valley to get those things done. It is a great car for my daughter and should last another 150k miles. So glad I was referred here. He is an honest mechanic and I highly recommend Sager and Sons.

Took a Vehicle in to have an engine replaced and it turned In to way more of a project than expected. Sager & Sons not only kept me well informed of every step of the process but also still got the replacement done in great time. Car is like brand new.
