We recently purchased a CPO Volvo XC40 and had a wonderful experience. We had the pleasure of working with Ryan Zucker, and he was personable, attentive, and dependable throughout the process from start to finish. He even has been helpful with getting our other Volvo needs taken care of even though it was not purchased at Gengras. We had a wonderful buying experience at Gengras North Haven Volvo and specifically working with Ryan Zucker. We came in with a very specific vehicle request. Ryan went above and beyond locating the vehicle for us, expertly negotiating a dealer to dealer transfer and even personally drove out to the location in order to deliver the vehicle to us to accommodate our busy schedule. He kept us informed throughout the entire process, gave us a very thorough tutorial on how to use all the features in our new car upon delivery and continued to be available for any questions we may have had post delivery. RYAN IS THE BEST! We’ve owned a Volvo XC60 T6 for many years—an incredibly reliable and safe vehicle that has never stranded us—so we knew our next car would be a Volvo. This time, we were interested in exploring electric models. We made the trip from NY to CT because Gengras had the model we found online and wanted to learn more about it.
We had previously visited another Gengras dealer in CT while shopping for our first Volvo and found the staff very pleasant, so we always kept the dealership in mind. When we arrived at North Haven, Ryan welcomed us warmly and had the car ready for a test drive. This was the very first EV we looked at, and we didn’t intend to purchase right away but we were excited to learn more. Dylan also greeted us and shared his own rave reviews of the car, which added to our excitement.
The XC40 Recharge we drove was impressive—roomy like our current SUV— and lots of power which we wanted. While test driving, we spotted another EV on the lot that we liked better: the sportier C40 Recharge. Ryan asked if we wanted to try it and made it happen. Although the color wasn’t our first choice, he quickly checked inventory and found one in a discontinued Thunder Gray that we loved with much less mileage We were thrilled! If it wasn't for him, we would not have known about this vehicle. He provided all the details, negotiated fairly, and made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. We did not intend to actually make a purchase that day, but Ryan’s enthusiasm gave us the confidence we needed. He was never pushy at any point and was extremely patient, even when we haggled with him. ;)
Thanks to Ryan’s diligence, knowledge, and attentiveness to exactly what we wanted, we purchased the C40 Recharge that very day without even seeing it! After the car arrived at their lot he sent us photos of the car and his impression. He even offered to bring the car to a closer location for us to test drive to make sure we were happy. We decided to trust his judgement and honesty and asked to test drive and pick up the car two days later on a particularly busy day, and he managed to adjust his schedule to accommodate us and making sure the car was ready knowing that we would travel far.
We absolutely love our new car!—it has exceeded our expectations. Ryan continues to check in to ensure we’re happy, even reaching out the day we drove it home to make sure we felt comfortable with our first EV experience. He is a true stand-up guy that goes far beyond the role of “salesman.”

Such a breath of fresh air to have a dealer I can bring my car to & know that it's going to be taken care of & repaired correctly. Rich, Brian, & the rest of the team are outstanding. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. I was able to get all of my questions answered by their online Sales contact while I was traveling for business, and then they worked around my schedule for the test drive and in person questions. They handled all details for registering the car, and the handoff was efficient, friendly and easy. I would highly recommend Gengras Volvo of North Haven.
