Services
Aquatic Therapy uses water properties to support rehabilitation and functional recovery. Licensed physical and occupational therapists provide individualized treatment plans with aquatic training. Sessions take place in warm-water therapeutic pools designed for comfort. The approach improves mobility, strength, and flexibility during rehabilitation programs.
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospitals IRFs offer intensive inpatient rehabilitation for patients with significant functional needs. Our focus remains on enhancing activities of daily living and improving mobility. An experienced interdisciplinary team collaborates to maximize patient independence through coordinated care. We work to ensure each patient is safely discharged back to their home and community.
Patients admitted to LTAC settings are typically referred from acute care hospitals after brief stays. They require ongoing management for complicated medical conditions that extend beyond standard acute treatment timelines. Our approach ensures coordinated care for conditions that cannot be quickly resolved elsewhere. Rehabilitation is provided to help prepare patients for transition to lower levels of care and eventual discharge.
Patients may select Whittier for outpatient rehabilitation delivered with individualized attention. We schedule convenient appointments and ensure prompt clinical evaluations. Our outpatient facilities include expansive rehabilitation gyms exceeding 2,500 square feet, equipped with advanced technology and therapeutic pools. Our rehabilitation team spans multiple disciplines, and we incorporate real-world training environments and innovative equipment such as AlterG treadmill.
Whittiers Physical Therapy services focus on comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment planning to enhance functional mobility. Our therapists address bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation through targeted clinical techniques and modalities. We aim to improve range of motion, reduce pain, and support safer movement. Patient education is integrated to encourage long-term independence and recovery.
We provide Prosthetics & Orthotics services in collaboration with Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics, delivering personalized evaluations and tailored solutions for artificial limbs and orthopedic bracing. Our weekly clinics support patients with limb loss in regaining mobility. Care is coordinated across Bradford and Westborough, ensuring seamless referrals and comprehensive multidisciplinary support for each patient respectively effectively.
Within Whittier Health Network, we deliver pulmonary rehabilitation at accredited acute rehabilitation hospitals. In Bradford we treat greater Boston and Merrimack Valley, and in Westborough central Massachusetts patients. The program enhances functional capacity and quality of life for people with chronic lung disorders. Care integrates supervised exercise, education, support, behavioral intervention, and structured clinical therapy. People

From the administrator to every therapist and back office support in the outpatient we thank you wholeheartedly!. We could not have selected a better rehab rehabilitation center for my family member!
Communication could not have been better scheduling, and the effectiveness of the rehab cannot be understated
We genuinely appreciate you all more than you know

My daughter was recently in a serious ski accident. Post surgery, and after a one month hospital stay, she was transferred to Whittier rehab in Bradford. We could not have been happier or more satisfied with the level of care, patience and kindness that she received. From the initial care coordinators to Drs Ligouri and Pant, the nurses and CNAs, as well as the outstanding work with Victoria from PT, and Emmarose from OT, she couldnt have been in better hands while at Whittier. She learned the tools to become mobile again and is on her way to full recovery.

Okay, listen the humans here come out healthier, happier, and walking straighter than ever. The staff are basically wizards in scrubs: kind, attentive, and always ready with encouragement and snacks (for them, not for dogs, unfortunately). If only dogs were allowed inside
But the yard? A masterpiece. Grassy, peaceful, full of sunshine and perfect for chasing tennis balls, contemplating life, squirrels, and injustice.
So yes 10/10 place for humans in recovery. But until they install a four-paw guest policy, Ill be outside, wagging in protest.

My brother was at Whittier in Bradford. The nurses, PT, nutritionist & Dr Pant & Dr Lynn were amazing! Such great care. They understood my brother was near passing & I did not want my brother moved. We had hospice care along with the staff at Whittier. I am very happy he passed away in peace. Thank you again for the great care & compassion.

My experience starting with the check in was great, the very pleasant young lady that took all my info was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Daniel Lococo NP explained the results of my knee X-rays, he even did an exam of my knee. Some others I have seen never examined my knee, I highly recommend Whittier! My follow up appointment was on time, and again Daniel Lococo was great. Thanks 😊.

My dad was inpatient at Whittier Rehab in Bradford… He expressed he was very pleased with his care during his stay. I am a daughter who lives out of state and relied on phone calls to check in on him. I was very impressed with each staff member I interacted with. Whether it be a case worker, therapist, nurse or social worker I was always treated with respect and professionalism. Each staff member was willing to give me their time to update me on my dad’s progress and answer all my questions or concerns. I was also invited to conference in on meetings with his care team.
Many thanks to all who took such good care of my dad. He was able to return home today in good spirits and feeling more like himself. Thanks again to a great staff.
