Preventative care is essential for maintaining pet health. Our nose-to-tail examinations identify potential issues early, covering dental health, weight management, and organ function. These regular assessments help create customized wellness plans tailored to your pet's age, breed, and lifestyle needs.

We provide core and non-core vaccinations for dogs and cats, including rabies, parvovirus, feline leukemia, and bordetella. Our team develops customized vaccination schedules based on your pet's age, health status, and risk factors to ensure optimal disease prevention.

In-home diagnostic testing includes blood work, urinalysis, parasite screening, and heartworm tests. These services enable prompt identification of health issues like infections, diabetes, or organ dysfunction, allowing immediate treatment planning without clinic visits.

Permanent identification through microchipping significantly increases reunion chances for lost pets. The quick, minimally invasive procedure places a rice-sized chip under the skin, containing contact information accessible via scanner at shelters and veterinary clinics.

We provide wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, microchipping, nutrition advice, and sick pet care in-home. Additional services include ultrasounds (select locations), litter exams, and dermatology consultations.

Our service isn't designed for emergencies. We recommend contacting a 24-hour veterinary hospital for critical cases requiring immediate intervention or advanced equipment.

Schedule online or by phone, receive a confirmation email, and a booking agent will call to customize your visit plan. Allow 30-90 minutes for single pets and 45-150 minutes for multiple pets.

Our fees include home visit convenience. While prices compare to clinic visits, we eliminate travel costs and time spent waiting, offering value through personalized, stress-free care.

I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful service I received from Better Vet. While I was out of town my senior cat was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease by Oceana Pet in Pacifica. They recommended 48 hours of emergency care, which was far outside my budget. I was hesitant to use Better Vet because I wanted a personal connection to the vet, but some of the mobile vets who were recommended to me had transitioned to working for Better Vet.

I emailed explaining my situation and they emailed back in a timely fashion reassuring me that the vet would bring all the necessary supplies for my cat's condition. When the vet arrived my cat had had a seizure and needed euthanasia, which was my absolute worst case scenario. The vet was incredible! She talked me through what was happening, she was so kind and reassuring, and someone from thousands of miles away I felt good about making this awful decision and trusted my baby was in excellent hands. Many, many thanks to the entire Better Vet team. I will recommend their services without hesitation--honestly, so many Bay Area vets seem egregiously overbooked and profit driven, and this seems like such an obvious better option.

Dr Santore and Tara Bronlow were excellent with Atlas my eighty pound Rottweiler. Both were calm and professional and thorough in their assessment. Having them both come to our home decreased Atlas' anxiety and led to a better experience for him.

The ability to get a house call from a veterinarian is such an incredibly convenient option. They showed up on time, we're very friendly and expertly worked up my pets.
