The Pines Course Designed by David Wallace in 1970 and later redesigned twice by Arthur Hills by the end of 2010.

In March of 1968, Ed Callaham and Blaine Eynon organized a group of twelve founders with the focus of creating a premier golf club in Naples. By December, only 10 months after their first meeting, Royal Poinciana Golf Club had 401 Members eager for opening day. The first of two golf courses officially opened on Thanksgiving Day, 1969, with the first tennis play on the courts happening during the same month.
