Duane was the grandson of Floyd "Pop" Dreyer, who built Dreyer Honda, the oldest Honda dealership in the United States. Duane began Dreyer Motorsports selling Yamaha products. After many successful years, he added Suzuki, and then Kawasaki. Dreyer Honda and Dreyer Motorsports are located side by side on Washington Street.
Today, both dealerships are still owned and operated by the Dreyer family. We offer the largest selection of pre-owned inventory in the area. Out of the love for his grandfather, Mike Dreyer wrote this biography on Floyd "Pop" Dreyer. He researched to see if the stories about his grandfather were true or just exaggerations. He found out many stories were understated. Floyd Dreyer was inducted into Knoxville's National Sprint Car hall of Fame and Indianapolis' National Midget Hall of Fame.
