It is always best for any child to know how to swim well and feel comfortable and confident in the ocean before they take a surf lesson. If they don't swim well, they often get scared and it makes their experience not a fun one. It's always best to wait until they are ready. If we are a family with a child under 12, can we be in the same group together?
