Services
ACL Reconstruction
Report
If you play a sport that involves jumping or quick stopping, you might be at risk of tearing your anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL. ACL tears are one of the most common injuries suffered by athletes, though they can severely limit your ability to continue playing without medical intervention. Dr. Kristofer J. Jones provides diagnosis and both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of ACL injuries in his Los Angeles practice.
Meniscus Repair and Transplant
Report
A torn meniscus can be obvious - characterized by swelling, pain, and locking in your knee - or subtle and perhaps even passed off as an ache or pain. If you're experiencing knee pain, stiffness, or swelling, it's important to be evaluated by a doctor who specializes in orthopedic injuries and disorders.
Cartilage Repair and Restoration
Report
When the articular cartilage in your knee begins to wear out and you lose the smooth gliding surface as a result, it can not only cause pain but change the way your knee functions. In most cases, early treatment is important in preventing worsening of the damage and causing more severe pain and complications.
Patellar Stabilization
Report
If you're experiencing frequent dislocation of the patella, patellar stabilization might be the right treatment for you. In this procedure, the kneecap gets more room to move laterally and stabilized in a functional position to prevent future dislocations and the pain and disability associated with them.
Knee Osteotomy
Report
If you have arthritis that impacts only one side of your knee, you may be a strong candidate for a procedure called knee osteotomy. The purpose of a knee ostomy is to shift your body weight, alleviating pressure on the damaged portion of your knee and redirecting it to the healthy side. Osteotomy can also be used as a more conservative approach to a total knee replacement, delaying the replacement for as long as ten years.
