The Balsam Motel is a small independently owned and operated lodging dedicated to making your trip to Lake George and the Southern Adirondacks a pleasurable and memorable experience. We are located just 2 blocks north of the center of Lake George Village. We have a quiet secluded wooded setting and offer housekeeping cottages and motel rooms.
There are picnic tables, grills, a pool and a small public beach just a few hundred feet from the back of our property. Restaurants, gift shops, a grocery store and all the other Lake George amenities are only a short walk. Dogs are welcome and we take extra steps to insure that you and your pet have a safe and relaxing stay.

Our cottages are rustic in character which gives them a true Adirondack feel. Each of the 5 housekeeping cottages are fully appointed with the same amenities as our motel rooms, but include fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. The cottages are housekeeping cottages and you are the housekeeper! Cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaners, ect.

Our newly renovated private pool is in the sunshine all day long. We have lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas for you to sit in the shade poolside if you choose. The pool is open from 10AM to 9PM weather permitting. Pool towels are provided. Down the back side of our property and a short walk is a small public beach on Lake George.
