John Mongiovi, Board Certified Hypnotist
Hypnosis is a natural state. Everyone experiences trance in moments of daydreaming, intense concentration, and when entering and exiting sleep. In a hypnosis session you achieve a similar state intentionally. You don't go unconscious, have total amnesia, or surrender control. You do usually become very deeply relaxed.

Everyone can benefit from hypnosis. If you need to overcome a habit or fear, reduce anxiety, or perform at your best, hypnosis can help you achieve your ideal thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. John Mongiovi is a Board-Certified Hypnotist and Certified Instructor of hypnotism. He helps people to overcome unwanted habits, fears, and anxieties, and to maximize performance in business, athletics, and the arts.

Report
Some issues require written referral of a qualified medical practitioner. As a hypnotist my role is help you resolve everyday problems using hypnosis. I am not a medical doctor or mental health practitioner. I do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, cure, or heal any physical, mental, or emotional illness.
Stop Smoking
Report
Some studies have found that hypnosis is over 3 times more effective to help people stop smoking than nicotine patches or gum, and 15 times more effective than trying to quit smoking cigarettes with willpower alone. Nicotine is addictive, but it's the mental habit that makes it challenging for most people to stop smoking.
Weight Loss
Report
Our conscious and unconscious beliefs surrounding food, eating, and activity are significant factors when it comes to weight loss and fitness. For a person who wants to lose weight, eat more healthfully, or get more exercise, the important moment is when you finally decide to do something about it and begin to look for help.
Anxiety
Report
If you have an anxiety disorder, please consult a medical practitioner before using hypnosis. I use hypnotism to reduce the physical, mental, and emotional effects of stress and anxiety. I do not "treat" or "cure" anxiety disorders. Anxiety often presents as preoccupation and rumination, catastrophic thinking, social anxiety performance anxiety, phobias, and compulsions.
Sleep
Report
If you are suffering from insomnia, please consult a medical practitioner before seeking hypnosis. Lack of sleep can be a serious issue. While it is not usually a sign of illness lack of sleep has been linked to chronic issues, including anxiety, depression, heart disease, and obesity. Trouble sleeping takes different forms.
