Theo Helmstadter founded Green River Pottery in 1998 after 25 years of studying and practicing ceramics. He learned through apprenticeships and now shares his expertise through teaching and studio mentorship. His work reflects both traditional techniques and modern artistic interpretation.

We provide wheel-throwing classes for all levels, from beginner primers to intermediate sessions. Class options include weekday mornings, evenings, and weekend sessions.
Can I visit the studio outside regular hours?
While our standard gallery hours are 9am-5pm daily, we recommend contacting us in advance for special visits to ensure staff availability.

Domestic shipping starts at $56. We offer gallery pickup discounts and combined shipping options for multiple purchases.

My wife and I spent our 8 year anniversary taking a pottery class here and it was a lot of fun for both of us. She's an artist so she really had fun but I had a great time as well. Mason was a great teacher and we're thinking about coming back next year as year number 8 is pottery/bronze but year 9 is pottery.

Theo is amazing. We had a private group class and it was great. Prices are good, studio is nice, Theo was nice patient and encouraging. We would go there again in a heart beat.
