Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluation
Report
The hearing evaluation, or hearing test, is the foundation upon which a comprehensive assessment of a patient's hearing profile is compiled. The evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is present and, if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.

It also may provide insight into the cause of the hearing loss as well as provide guidance for the audiologist in making appropriate treatment recommendations or referrals to other medical professionals if necessary. However, the hearing evaluation does not correlate well with a particular patient's difficulty in everyday listening situations.
Communication Evaluation
Report
The hearing evaluation, or hearing test, is the foundation upon which a comprehensive assessment of a patient's hearing profile is compiled. Our communication evaluation emphasizes solutions based on a patient's lifestyle and unique communication needs.

Going beyond the standard tone-based hearing evaluation, both objective tests such as speech-in-noise (SIN) and Acceptable Noise Level (ANL) and self-assessment measures such as the Characteristics of Amplification Tool (COAT), Abbreviated Profile of Hearing Aid Benefit (APHAB), Expected Consequences of Hearing Aid Ownership (ECHO), and Client Oriented Scale of Improvement (COSI) are utilized to evaluate a patient's communication difficulties and set communication goals.
Live Speech Mapping
Report
Live speech mapping is a hearing aid verification method that is used to ensure that your hearing aids are programmed to set of independently researched "targets." These targets are developed to give the wearer maximum benefit at a variety of sound levels.

Small microphones are placed in the ear canal and used to measure the response of the hearing aid in your ear taking into account the natural and individual characteristics of both your ear and your hearing profile.Live speech mapping is the only way to accurately verify how a modern hearing aid is working inside any individual patient's ear canal.
