Eye Carumba Optometry

Dr. Torres established Eye Carumba Optometry in 2004 specifically to provide high quality optometric services to the residents and employees of San Francisco's financial district. The driving force behind this venture has been Dr. Torres' commitment to ensure that patients receive high level, individual attention that allows our patients to fully participate in their optometric health care.

For routine eye exams (wellness care) and primary eyecare (treatment of medical conditions of the eye) Eye Carumba Optometry is an in-network provider for Vision Service Plan (VSP) and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO insurance plans. The Eye Carumba staff will gladly assist patients in determining current eligibility by contacting VSP, Blue Shield, and Blue Cross directly.

Eye Carumba Optometry can order most soft or hard contact lenses available in the United States with a valid prescription. Dr. Torres and Dr. Yeh are expert RGP lens fitters with specialized training in hybrid contact lenses. At Eye Carumba Optometry, all new contact lens wearers are trained by our doctors to assure maximum probability of success.

Parking Garage Location: There is a parking garage beneath each of the four Embarcadero Center towers. The garage for Four Embarcadero is on Clay Street, where it dead-ends heading east. If you're on a cobblestone drive, you're in the right place. We are located at the corner of Drumm and Clay Streets, in the Financial District, in the Embarcadero Center Four building.

Our owner, Dr. Joseph Torres, has been living in San Francisco for over 30 years. He's found ways to give back to the community through Eye Carumba Optometry in ways that reflect his eclectic taste and different passion for the Bay Area.

Founded in 2004, Project Homeless Connect is an organization that collaborates with different businesses, city agencies, and organizations to provide comprehensive services through different events to assist those who are at risk of becoming homeless, are currently experiencing homelessness or are transitioning from homelessness to housing.
